Edmund Scherer was not only a winemaker, but also a restaurateur and entertainer of a special kind. He became known far beyond the local borders as a puppeteer and Heinz Erhardt impersonator. He was often a guest on regional television and, among other things, had a joint appearance with Johann Lafer. He died in 2009 at the age of only 59. Since then, his wife Anne Scherer has run the Arnsteiner Hof alone.
