Our philosophy
The Birkelbach Mediagroup GmbH was founded in 2003 by Jörg Birkelbach. The company develops and operates video portals in the area of WebTV, InstoreTV and Smart TV, in particular to take into account the changed media behavior of consumers.
The content of Weinmacher.TV can be received on various TV brands via so-called Smart TV apps. The program will soon also be made available via AmazonFireTV. The video portal is supplemented by a shop that is available to winemakers to sell their wines.
Jörg Birkelbach is connected to the subject of wine in many ways. Born in the Rhineland, raised on the Moselle, he got to know the guild at a young age, also behind the scenes and not only as a connoisseur of good wines.
As a journalist and book author, he has been writing articles about the possibilities of new media, especially the Internet, for a wide variety of industries since the early 1990s. With his contribution "Cyber grapes and virtual wine tasting" in DIE WELT on August 8, 1995, he described early on the possibilities for winemakers and wine dealers to use the Internet as a marketing tool and worldwide sales channel.
